I rated the computer at four stars, instead of five, only for one reason, and not of its own fault, really.

First, it is a solid piece of equipment for the price - it is quality stuff, and well worth the money.

It is a very responsive machine. It is second only to my powerful desktop. It puts my HP laptop to shame.

I did soup it up with a faster & larger HD and doubled RAM, though it was very fast out of the box.

There is a draw-back for its convenient small size - scrunched-down screen to view and keyboard to type on - but I knew that when I bought it. If you are willing to accept that draw-back then you'd have to give it five stars for what it is designed for!

I travel a couple of times a year and dragging my 17" laptop was a pain. I carried it around the airport in a backpack, and after a while it got very heavy. I tried a rolling case for it, but it was so big, I couldn't fit it under the seat and leave any room for my feet. I'm a student and I only need it to check my email, work on homework, and check in on online classes while I'm gone. This little netbook is perfect for that. I'm not trying to run any big apps on it, and I notice no lag in performance at all. It's fast and efficient, the keyboard is larger than other netbooks I tried, and the battery life is amazing.

An added bonus is the built in webcam. I use it to video chat with my family in Texas, and the video and audio quality is about equal to my set up on my desktop pc.

What's good about it? Almost everything: *Battery life is five hours plus. *The screen is bright and readable. *The keyboard is plenty big enough. *The size is perfect, especially for travel. *The wireless feature works great. *The memory is adequate and can be extended indefinitely.
What's less than great? *The R/L clicker is too small and too close to the front edge. *The max volume is too low. *It does not come with MicroSoft Word. *An external disk drive is needed to install additional programs.
